Hyperkalaemia

 

Resuscitate

·        ABC

·        Cardiac monitoring

·        Blood tests

Stabilise membrane

·        CaCl2 10mL = 6.8mmol

Transfer into cells

·        Actrapid 10 units + glucose 50mL 50%

·        Salbutamol 0.5mg IV or 20mg neb

·        HCO3- 1mL/kg

Remove from body

·        Fluid

·        Frusemide

·        Dialysis
