·     Causes: high filling pressure (stiff ventricle), mitral stenosis

·     Causes: lung disease / pulmonary hypertension / cor pulmonale

Ventricular hypertrophy:

LVH

·     Left axis

·     S in V1 + R in V5 or V6 ≥ 35mm (7 big squares)

·     Can’t diagnose if LBBB present

RVH

·     Right axis

·     R in V1 >7mm or RS ratio >1

·     S in V5 or V6 >7mm or RS ratio <1

·     Can’t diagnose if RBBB present

RV strain

·     ST depression + T wave inversion in RV (V1-4) and inferior (2, 3, aVF)
