Hypertensive crisis |
· Cause: noradrenaline reuptake inhibitor + indirect acting sympathomimetic amine · Especially ephedrine · Avoid indirect-acting vasopressors, especially ephedrine · Use direct-acting vasopressors i.e. phenylephrine, noradrenaline · Treatment: adrenergic antagonist e.g. labetalol, phentolamine |
